The individuals on our board of directors volunteer their time for the benefit of our school and students. They assist us in planning, budgeting, and implementing school programs and help ensure fiscal responsibility and academic success.
Join Us
We value the input of our community and invite you to provide comments regarding the items open for review. Our monthly board meetings are open to the public in accordance with state law and our school’s charter, unless the board calls for a closed-door session.
We hold all board meetings at STAR Academy on select Wednesdays at 7:00 a.m. in room 108. Please view our calendar for more information.

Addressing the Board During Meetings
If you wish to address the board, you can do so during regular business and special called meetings. Please note that public comments are not allowed during executive sessions. Before speaking, public comments must be submitted by email with “STAR Regular Board of Directors Meeting” in the subject line. These submissions must be made before noon on the day preceding the board meeting and added to the agenda.
If you have written comments or questions for the STAR Board of Directors, you can submit them by email with “STAR Regular Board of Directors Meeting” in the subject line. These submissions must be made before noon on the day preceding the board meeting. Your comments will be reviewed during the meeting.
When addressing the board, members of the public will need to provide their name and home address. If applicable, please also mention the organization you represent. If a public comment cannot be read in full within the allotted time during the meeting, (three minutes) the board will have access to the complete submission.
